SCL 3: OPERATING SYSTEM AND FILE MANAGEMENT

2. Nowadays, even smart phones have their own unique operating systems. Draw a table of comparison between the two most popular OS in smart phones, which are Android and Windows 8.

Android Jelly Bean has multiple home-screens that can be fully customised with widgets and short cuts.	Interface	Windows 8 has a single home-screen populated with Live Tiles.
Has hundreds of thousands of downloadable programs that can enhance the smartphone experience.	Application	Although it has more than hundred thousands of applications, it is a less mature operating system.
User can download songs from Google Play.	Music Store	User can download songs from Xbox Music.
It is equipped with various browser but it uses Google Chrome as the main browser.	Browser	It equipped with the latest version of Internet Explorer 10.
It consists of multiple icons and widgets.	Home Screen	It consists of tiles and smaller, icon-esque tiles.
We use Google Docs to open and view documents.	Productivity Suite	We use Office Mobile that is similar to Microsoft Office to view documents and such.
It has the ability to protect device and disable the acces to the phone if stolen.	Password Protect Reset	It has no feature to protect the phone.
It is based on Google Maps and provided with latest features such as indoor maping, 3D and street view.	Maps	It has adopted Nokia's mapping system and allowed users to access not only 3D street view but also Nokia's Navtek Traffic service.
The camera is highly customizable and has review system which is much more simpler and easier.	Camera	It introduced Nokia Pure View Technology which is more effective and powerful.
